Sue Connelly created the KITList (Keep in Touch List) as a way of connecting alumni from Silicon Graphics. Today over 64,000 people subscribe to the KITList which has 2 lists
(technical and non-technical) on which recruiters post real jobs. While the KITList started in Silicon Valley, California, the postings are for positions all over the US as are the participants on the List.

As a retained recruiter, the KITList provides me with candidates who actually read the postings and do great self-selection as to whether they meet the requirements for the role.
The KITList has grown organically by word of mouth - a friend tells a friend who tells a neighbor who tells a former workmate.
