BrokeButNotForLong, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that assists workers locate free transitional skill training, mental health and financial resources, and job inspiration via social networking and gift giving. We focus on three distinct types of workers and their families in transition: the disabled, veterans, and non-veterans. We list free and reliable online services, as well as inspirational blogs and informational narratives on our Web site. We sell practical job-related gift items for individuals who lost or gained employment. Our underlying premise is that as Americans, we are hard-working individuals, determined to get a good job, and do it well. Hence our namesake: BrokeButNotForLong. Our goal is to provide a reliable Web site for individuals who are eager to work and have adequate skills but are not finding employment on commercial Internet sites by addressing the bigger picture of not being employed which includes mental stress, financial trouble, and lack of basic technical training to compete for jobs.
