Tools for America's Job Seekers Challenge

Not as easy to use as one would think. Many false hits and scammy jobs especially if you are searching for a more uncommon career. Sprawling site with a lot of options and ability to use specialized services, but the job seeker could use more guidance as to the options and why you would want to sign up for various lists and notifications. Also should be easier to get off all the lists/notifications simultaneously.

Tried this and Monster.com's PowerSearch Beta tool. Monster's tool is MUCH better. Career Builder still gives many false hits as mentioned by another comment. If time is important to you, go to Monster.com. Don't take my word for it, try a side-by-side search and see. Posting your resume is easier too.

CareerBuilder is a good search tool, one I do check frequently. However, many of the listings are bogus, which you can always tell because it is the same exact listing repeated over, and over, and over. I have had applications through here that led to interviews, but you do have to be careful.

I find the search tools to not be as powerful or to have as many options as Monster. Still, all in all it is a site I recommend as a general search tool.
