  1. More valuable in the past. In my latest search it was much less valuable than Careerbuilder

Monster.com's PowerSearch Beta is unbelievable. When I typed in a job title it came back with all RELEVANT jobs! What a concept! All the other sites just seem to just plug in the words I type and throw back jobs with no rhyme or reason. To be fair I tried Career Builder and Monster's tool side-by-side to look for a Project Manager position. Career Builder’s top reply was INFORMATION SYSTEMS SECURITY MANAGER (NOT a Project Manager job) and of the 25 jobs listed on their first page of results only 2 (yes only 2 of 25 - not a typo) were Project Manager related! Monster’s results were MUCH better. EVERY job listed (18 of them for the area I was looking) on Monster’s Results page was for a Project Manager job. If time is important to you, go to Monster.com. But don't take my word for it, try a side-by-side search and see. Posting your resume on Monster is easier too, plus there are a ton of tools to help land a job on the site.

I don't know what else I can say about Monster, but over the years Monster has helped me find at least 5 different jobs in 3 cities! They were good jobs too!

While Monster will never replace the value of networking, it's a great place to start. Unlike some other job boards, most of the Monster listings are actually REAL jobs.

We’re ALWAYS interested in hearing about Job Seeker success stories. We currently have a campaign underway which will highlight “I found my job on Monster” success stories on the homepage of Monster.com. If you are interested in being featured, please let us know. We’d love to hear more. You can also join our Facebook page, I Found My Job on Monster, and tell us more there. Either way, we’d love to tap into these success stories. Open to any and all suggestions!

Monster.com has WAY too many entries in this challenge. It's like they split up their site for every sub-page and created an entry for it. I don't think it's correct usage. Obviously this Ana lady has a lot of free time on her hands. Whether what she did is actually considered abuse or not, I do not believe this is in line with the spirit of the challenge.
