Best Uses :
Job Search, Career Advice, Integrated w/ social media

JobShouts.com is an innovative and new generation employment resource. No longer just a job board in the traditional sense, JobShouts is a job search engine integrated with social media, helping to create connections and deliver better matching results for both employers and job seekers. JobShouts is integrated with Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and other social networks. We deliver real-time job postings to these networks so you know as soon as a job is posted! Timing can be everything in a job search.

In addition, job seekers can login using their Google, Yahoo, Twitter, Facebook, MySpace or AOL ID and create a free (and private) user profile on JobShouts.com. This allows you to receive instant notification via Direct Message on Twitter whenever a job is posted that matches your profile. (Edit your settings on Twitter to forward DM’s (Direct Messages) to your email or phone so that you don’t have to monitor Twitter actively.)

Additionally, you can become a fan of JobShouts on Facebook or join the JobShouts group on LinkedIn to receive updates about the latest jobs! Our blog also offers advice from career experts – covering topics such as how to prep for interviews, resume & cover letter writing tips, industry trends, how & where to find job opportunities, how to utilize social media in the job search, etc.

I would not recommend this tool because it does not allow you to look or post multi-state for opportunities. It is sort of a one-off feature.

  2. I cannot find information on who operates the site. If I submit a resume in response to a job, who is getting my resume? It is also still in "beta" which means it looks kind of good now but has not been truly tested.

mfriley - On the About Us page, it clearly gives our names and there is also a contact page. When you submit a resume it goes directly to the employer that posted the job. This is done through email, routed to the address that the employer provided. We do not store resumes.

We've been in operation for nearly 1 year and have many success stories. If you have any other questions, please ask! :)
