What makes LinkUp unique is we index job postings exclusively from companies’ own web sites, ignoring recruiter sites and other job boards, and then continuously validate that they’re still posted. No spam, no duplicates, no stale listings. Each job listed will tell you how long ago it was posted, and how recently it was verified. You can also create job alerts, get RSS results of a search, and with a single click, you can forward a listing to a friend.
Companies do not advertise all of their job openings on Monster, CareerBuilder, and other "pay-for" job sites. LinkUp contains many jobs that cannot be found anywhere else on the web. The jobs are also always current because if the corporate site takes the job listing off the web, so do we. This assures that when you apply for a job though LinkUp, you are applying to a job that is open, available, and accepting applications.
But the most substantial difference between listings on other job sites and LinkUp is the depth and detail. Since all of our jobs come from company websites, you will find more descriptive job listings, requirements and qualifications, benefits, company culture information, and what kind of person they are looking to hire. Not only does this information help you determine if the job is one you should apply for, but it also helps us serve excellent matches to the job search queries you run on our site.

Search can be too general -- a search on "employment" brought up jobs where a credential "must be kept current throughout employment"
you probably shouldn't type "employment" into any job search engine. You can't blame the search engine for being "too general" if you are not putting in specific criteria. As you noticed, however, Linkup does offer a full-text search which is actually something few job boards do.
I am definelty going to look into this site for jobs.
Great Job searching tool, the big plus a job listing goes directly to the company's web site. I have also observed new jobs are current and added daily. NO THIRD PARTY JOBS THAT DON'T EXIST ON THE SITE!!!!
I like the tab feature - makes returning to your search results quick and easy. No hitting the back button. Was surprised to see the same job listed several times in the same search results. Why was it being listed more than once? I do like that you are linked to the company site.
Sharon, thanks for the terrific comment! The listings that you see are because an employer has 2 of that job open, and has decided to list it twice on their company website.
If anyone else has suggestions for LinkUp, you can post them here, email support@linkup.com, or use our public-support forum at http://linkup.uservoice.com/
Why Linkup? From an employment counselor with 20 years experience, here are my 5 reasons -
1) No scams or schemes - only jobs companies post on their corporate website. 100% legitimate jobs.
2) Simple to operate - my clients often have limited computer skills, they can navigate Linkup with no trouble.
3) They don't try and be everything to everyone - unlike that big-named board that is so scattered they can no longer do anything well - Linkup does one thing really well.
4) *Excellent* customer service. Ever try contacting a real live human at one of the other job boards? If you get a response, it is rarely anything other than a canned response. Not so here.
5) They also listen to your suggestions and will try to incorporate them when possible. Amazing - they really listen to their users.
I tell my clients there is no need to spend hours on 40-bazillion different job boards. There are only 4 places they need to check to find all the advertised jobs in our community - this is one of them.
