The level of useful information and/or assistance I have, and do, receive from this group has been invaluable for me both as a solopreneur and career-minded employee. The issues discussed cover a wide range from finding employment to keeping employment, starting a business to growing a business, and everything in between. I attended networking meetings through this group that helped me gain confidence in myself and my business when I was a startup 2 1/2 years ago. I continue to encourage my business contacts to get involved with this group, as well.

I highly recommend the Ask Liz Ryan discussion communities. I have been a member 2-3 years now and continually find up to date resources on jobs, resumes, and related work topics. Liz's advice is to the point, current and relevant - which is what any serious job seeker appreciates. I was fortunate to actually meet Liz Ryan herself at a Yahoo! focus group at the Yahoo! headquarters and she is an encyclopedia full of information on many topics, but specializes in job / career advice.

I have been a member of this job board for years, even though I haven't been looking for a job in that time span (I'm a teacher). It helps me keep current with the trends in job searching, which I can use to help others, including my students. I have updated my resume/CV based on the suggestions, and also use the suggestions when serving on search committees. I like that I have the ability to post questions and get responses from a variety of "experts".
