Managing a career means managing information as well as relationships, especially over a long term. JibberJobber is a tool that structures this, making ongoing career management efficient and effective. As well, the ongoing addition of new features to this service means that its value will only increase. I highly recommend it!

  2. Me too! The best thing about JibberJobber is that Jason Alba stands behind it. Anyone can invent a new tool and then let it go. Jason is continually seeking ways to evolve the tool and make it more useful. Any job seeker connecting with JJ and / or Jason will benefit.

JibberJobber is an outstanding tool for job seekers at all stages of their professional lives. It helps reduce overwhelm in managing relationships and managing the job search. Every person who loses a job should be pointed in the direction of JibberJobber as their first place to go. What other tool out there has the constant involvement of the founder who is dedicated to its improvement and to the support of those who have lost their jobs? None that I'm aware of. Other "name brand" services can't touch JibberJobber in quality nor in integrity.

JobberJobber is a fantastic tool for monitoring your job search. Not only that, it can help people easily comply with state rules regarding tracking job seeking activity when they file for unemployment.

JibberJobber was a godsend for me in both of the corporate layoffs (and resulting job searches) I have experienced since the beginning of 2007. It is an excellent way to track your contacts, target companies, company insiders, jobs you're interested in, as well as set reminders or log activity related to all of the above (e.g., submitted application, sent thank you notes, etc). This site was SO much more helpful for me personally than keeping spreadsheets or paper binders. It's just all so well mapped out for you - why even TRY to use a manual method.

A few highlights for me personally:

There really is a person behind the curtain -- Jason Alba -- he is very passionate about keeping in close contact with his customer base, seeking their feedback, and keeping the prices very reasonable.

I was SO glad to be able to go back and forth a couple times between free and paid accounts without losing any data -- this is FANTASTIC customer service.

I was able to upload copies of the specific documents (resumes, cover letters, handbills) I had distributed / used to apply to specific jobs. In today's world, you NEED multiple versions of your documents, so you can tailor them to the specific jobs / companies you are applying for. Jibber Jobber helped me keep this all straight.

The target company profile section had data fields that allowed me to store the web URL of each specific company's HR website, as well as the User ID and Passwords for each specific website -- this was a GODSEND for me.

Jason's related Blog provides a wealth of insight, tips & tricks to the job hunter.

One final comment -- JibberJobber.com is THE FIRST AND ONLY job-search tool I recommend when I hear that someone else is seeking new employment.

  7. JibberJobber is an excellent tool for planning, organizing and managing a job search. The FREE version is extremely useful, and can help anyone get started to plan and execute on their job search plan, so they're not spinning their wheels -- or panicking because they can't find the scrap of paper they wrote and important phone number or contact's name on.

The jibberjobber.com website offers a wealth of free advice and support. Let's face it, starting a job search in this economy can be overwhelming. JibberJobber can help anyone get organized, and stay organized.
